ObjectiveTo determine the effectiveness of adapting healthy food retail components for online delivery.Use Theory or ResearchSmall stores that accept SNAP/EBT are important sources low-income Americans, especially in areas where traditional grocery difficult to access. SNAP-Ed recognizes interventions as an approach encourage eating and support direct nutrition education.Target AudienceSmall census tracts were targeted.Program DescriptionShop Smart Tennessee is 8-week small program uses taste testing, educational handouts, in-store marketing customer selections. In response COVID-19, modified pilot be delivered on social media. Food demonstration videos developed replace testings, handouts translated media posts. Educators posted content partnering store's Facebook page tagged store posts.Evaluation MethodsTo assess delivery methods we used participant surveys linked video posts, metrics, educator feedback.ResultsFive participated this pilot. Thirty-seven with 4,320 views 863 engagements. Forty-three people completed surveys, 89% (n = 38) responding they would likely make recipe at home. Nutrition feedback suggested managers supportive it was acceptable alternative programming.ConclusionThis demonstrated programming can adapted This method well received by participants, educators.
